Kangana Ranaut gets Y security from MHA
New Delhi, :– Actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been at loggerheads with the Maharashtra government over the past few days, has been granted Y Category security by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
Kangana took to Twitter on Monday morning to thank Union Home Minister Amit Shah for providing her the security cover.
“This is proof that no fascist will be able to crush a patriotic voice. I am grateful to Amit Shah ji. He could have advised me to not come to Mumbai for the next few days but he kept the words of a daughter of India,” she tweeted in Hindi.
Kangana had earlier said that she does not want protection from Mumbai Police but from Himachal Pradesh or Central government once she returns to the city to expose the drug mafia in Bollywood.
On Sunday the Himachal Pradesh government said the state will provide security to Kangana at the request of her father or sister. “Kangana Ranaut’s father has given a written request asking for police protection. I also spoke to her sister yesterday. The Director-General of Police has been directed in this regard and she will be provided security here. We are discussing what can be done to provide security to her outside the state as she is leaving for Mumbai on September 9,” said CM Jairam Thakur.
Kangana is currently in her hometown Manali and is scheduled to land in Mumbai on September 9 amid the ongoing tussle with Maharashtra government and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.
