5T Secretary Visits Lingaraj Temple To Review Development Project

Bhubaneswar: The 5T Secretary VK Pandian today visited the Lingaraj Temple to review a mega project for development of Ekamra Kshetra in Bhubaneswar.

Accompanied by a team of officials, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s Private Secretary visited the centuries old temple early in the morning. He set the target for completion of the Ekamra Kshetra Development Project by end of November this year.

Source said that over 80% land has been acquired by the Government for development of the project. The plan for widening of roads is likely to be completed before Mahashivaratri next year.

Also, the alternative road work will be completed by the deadline for ease of traffic and convenience of devotees.

The work under the beautification project had stopped since March this year due to COVID-19 outbreak in the State.

The heritage project envisages beautification of site around Lingaraj temple providing all amenities for the devotees and tourists.
