Ganjam:<\/strong> In a tragic incident, a youth drowned to death in Daha canal under Bhanjanagar police limits in Ganjam district while taking selfie inside the water body today morning.<\/p>\n

The youth, identified as Sourav Behera (23) of Berhampur town had been at his uncle\u2019s house in Bhanjanagar for past few days. Along with three relatives, Sourav went to Daha canal to take bath today morning.<\/p>\n

One of his relative said Sourav was taking selfie while taking bath. But accidentally he fell into deep water and was drowned in the canal. Though Sourav\u2019s relatives were present at the spot, they could hardly do anything to save him.<\/p>\n

Hearing the screams for help, some locals reached the spot and fished Sourav out of the canal in an unconscious state.<\/p>\n

The youth was then admitted to the Bhanjanagar hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.<\/p>\n
