Phulbani: A 22-year-old youth was arrested in Odisha\u2019s Kandhamal district for allegedly raping and impregnating a minor girl.<\/p>\n

According to police sources, the accused, identified as Rohita Kahara (22) of Kelapada village under Phiringia police limits in the district, had raped the victim, a 15-year-old-old girl and class-X student.<\/p>\n

He has been booked under Sections 376(3), 376(2)(n), 506 of the IPC and Section 6 of the POCSO Act, and forwarded to court.<\/p>\n

In a similar incident in the district, a 19-year-old youth was apprehended for allegedly kidnapping, confining and raping a 15-year-old girl on the pretext of marriage.<\/p>\n

The arrested has been identified as Ritu Bhukta of Dangarpadar village under Phiringia police limits. He has been charged under Sections 363, 365, 366, 376(3), 376(2)(n), 506 of the IPC and Section 6 of POCSO Act, and forwarded to court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
