Bhubaneswar:  <\/strong>As many as 4270 fresh COVID-19 cases, highest single-day spike so far, have been detected in Odisha in the the last 24 hours taking the state\u2019s total tally to 162920 .<\/p>\n

Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 2478 <\/span>have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1792 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.<\/p>\n

Khordha recorded highest 876 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (374) and Puri (287).<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 36473.  However, 1,25,748 patients have recovered in the state so far.<\/p>\n

It is pertinent to mention here that total 51,320 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 2567777 tests have been conducted in the state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
